The commercial hype has overtaken the religious reality to the extent that most have totally lost sight of it. Even a solemn day like Good Friday is more memorable to kids for Hot Cross Buns than for the Crucifixion of our Lord. But I guess it is the bounden duty of the Church through the Archdiocese and through parish priests & parents to bring the new generation back on track. Enjoyment, sure, it is indeed a Joyous time but don’t lose track of the religious core.
